The Domino Report for November 1

PETE TOWNSEND, Washington (Domino News) -- The Slaughter Resumes

Our intrepid players returned to Sirens this evening for the 21st Occasional Domino Game. After Innie got caught with 60 points (12 slashes) early on, the lead whipsawed during the remainder of the evening. It was not until the last hand that Innie stuck Outie with 72 points (14 slashes) and walked away the winner, 219 to 203. Innie now leads the series 11 games to 10.

Having heard reports of the Color Set's 2-6 temporary escape, the Standard Set's 0-1 leapt off the table and headed for the door. Unfortunately, not having legs proved to be an insurmountable obstacle and 0-1 was quickly recaptured.

Forced to be adventuresome this evening because there was "no pizza" (how can there be "no pizza"?!), Innie and Outie went for sandwiches: the Philly Cheesesteak and the House Club, with an entree of the Trio Dip (artichoke, black olive, and garlic dips, served with toasts).

Other Sirens' visitors this evening included a couple reading books (with their own book stands), the Tuesday Night Port Townsend Bluegrass and Fiddle Club Players, and a large parrot and his trained human.
